Welcome! My name is Brooke Werner and I am currently a graduate student at Indiana University pursuing my Master of Arts in Arts Administration. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a double major in Arts Management and English with a focus in Film, Literature and Popular Culture Studies as well as a minor in Theatre. As part of my journey in the world of arts administration, I intend to use this site to showcase my work and create an online portfolio for future endeavours.

My Goals
Throughout my academic career and personal journey, I have learned one thing: art is a necessity. I intend to use my academic knowledge and skills to create a space for young artists to explore different mediums of the arts and find their passion.
My primary focus has been the performing arts sector. I have spent a majority of my undergraduate and graduate career studying not-for-profit organizations and the legal framework of 501(c)(3) entities. I have worked in a professional theatrical setting since I was 16 years-old as a technician and in recent years have begun to explore opportunities in the management sector of theatre such as stage management, producing and production management.
Having worked on numerous productions in a variety of roles, I understand the necessity to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive industry. I aspire to be a change maker by assisting in uplifting the voices and skills of marginalized people by ensuring they have access to spaces that will allow them to showcase their talents and find their place within the arts community.
